Product DescriptionNeckpro Cervical Traction Device is a home cervical traction device. The Cervical Traction Device may be used for the relief of neck pain associated with cervical disc herniation, spondylosis, osteoarthritis, cervical radiculopathy, neck strain, pinched nerve in upper spine with associated pain radiating down upper extremities, tension and/or tightness (muscle spasm) in muscles of the upper back, shoulders and neck, fibromyalgia, whiplash, insomnia and tension headaches associated with tension in the aforementioned musculature. Conventional home overdoor neck traction systems utilize a bag of water and patient trial and error determining the appropriate amount of traction poundage. The Neckpro Cervical Traction Device eliminates this old process by coupling a computer designed precision-made compression spring with a unique ratcheting device that delivers a more precise amount of cervical traction tension. Each click of the ratchet audibly signals an increase in the tension being applied. This not only allows traction to be delivered in a progressive format similar to what they experience in a clinical setting, but the audible click allows the patient to monitor and keep track of the settings that provide a positive outcome. The specially designed head halter for the home traction device is easy to apply and comfortable even under high levels of cervical traction tension. The Neckpro Overdoor Cervical Traction Device includes Neckpro compression spring & racket assembly, head halter and overdoor bracket (fits doors measuring up to 1.5" (3.8 cm) in thickness. Commercial size overdoor bracket is also available for doors measuring up to 1.75" (4.4 cm) in thickness. Sold separately. Neckpro Cervical Traction. Due to often short recovery times and hygienic concerns this product is non-returnable.Consult with your medical professional if you have questions as to whether this treatment is appropriate for your condition.Product Features* Comfortable under high levels of traction* Does not use water bag * Fits doors up to 1.75" (4.4 cm) in thickness * Unique ratchet device delivers precise tension Customer ReviewsRated This is very easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Saves me lots of trips to the Chiropractor. Rated For the last year the pain in my fractured and herniated C6-C7 has been intense, shooting pain down my left arm and numbing my index finger. A cortizone procedure helped for about six months, but now with returning pain. An inversion machine keeps me stretched out a lot, and helps, but when I'm traveling I cannot bring the machine along. This Neck Pro product is still new to me, using it for only seven days. I was instructed by my Chiorpractor to rachet the unit to 8 lbs. After four days I felt no relief, so I increased the weight to 10-11 lbs. This seems to help a lot. The machine comes with a door bracket, but I installed an eye hook on my ceiling just above my computer so I can at least read while using it. For camping I'm going to create a bracket that will attach to a pine tree. My pain is intense, so I'm thinking outside the box and not relying on Neck Pro to serve all my applications while traveling. I use it for 10 minutes in the morning, and at night. It seems my pain comes on more often now while not in use, but maybe It's because my spine compresses more easily after it is stretched out? Does anybody have any feedback on this issue? i'm certainly not going to quit using it, and don't want to increase the weight...or maybe I should? Rated So my original adjustable mounting brake bent. The wing nuts, which are difficult to adjust, came loose and created a torque on the bracket causing it to bend. Called and within five minutes, literally, they offered to send me a new one which is non-adjustable. I can only speak for the non-adjustable because I have not received the new bracket. The bracket will damage or cause indentations in your door if it is wood. Metal door I have not tried. Other than that its a great unit, and the customer service is amazing! Rated Bought this product for various reasons. The first was because it is more practical to use than those devices using weights. The second reason was to assist patients of mine who have disc narrowing, sometimes with nerve impingement. The forces needed to effectively pull the neck manually are great, so manual techniques are limited by the therapists strength, endurance and frequency of treatment. Showing my patients how to use this device and giving them a daily regimen has aready given these patients wonderful and amazing results. I would strongly recommend this product to people with disc narrowing and herniated(slipped)discs which is confirmed by a medical practitioner. If you have been identified as a candidate for a neck operation, the Neckpro is well worth a try before going for the op. The Neckpro is very well built and well tolerated by my patients. A spreader bar would be ideal for those with larger heads though. Very highly recommended product for the right candidates. Rated Husband with daily neck pain, and this product is the only thing which relieves it. He has not felt this good for 5-7 years, but only if he uses it consistently. Requires use of a solid-wood or metal door, or you will punch a hole right through the "wood". Similar Products
