Customer ReviewsRated I bought this for an old office chair that the seat cushion had worn out and the pneumatic height adjustment had quit. The memory foam seat rest is very comfortable, relieving a sore posterior. The seat cushion also added a little height so my arms are better positioned for typing. The only negative is the seat cushion is a little small for my full sized office chair. I keep the cushion positioned a little forward from the back rest (I tend to slouch in my chair so I don't notice the inch or two gap). It does stay in place well, maybe needing readjustment once a week or so. Overall I am very happy with the product. Just be careful and check the cushion size if you have a larger office chair and sit very upright or need a lot of side-to-side coverage :) Rated After having this item on my Amazon wish list for over 2 years I was thrilled to unwrap it on Christmas morning. After trying it out, however, I was sorely disappointed. I expected to have a soft memory foam like the pad I use on my bed but instead had a seat cusion that was hard and even worse than the worn out chair I was wanting to improve !!! What made me more upset was the fact we cannot return it unless it's not what we ordered or not as described. My opinion and the description are completely different things, but it never mentioned SOFTNESS w hich is what I wanted so I guess I am stuck with it. I am resorting to re-selling it on ebay, which I know we won't get half of what we paid. Live and learn .... buy items like this from a store where you can try it out first. Rated Placing this cushion on our existing worn out office chair seat has saved us from buying a whole new chair. Very good buy! Rated I purchased this pad because my legs were getting numb from poor circulation due to the bad padding in my office chair. I spend eight hours in this chair so I needed it to be more comfortable. I purchased this pad hoping it would do the trick. Unfortunately it does not. I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 260 lbs. My waist size is 40". I am a big guy. Here are the pros and cons: Pro - Well made, memory foam is great stuff when used in thick enough pieces. Pro - Will probably work well for imps and elves. Pro - Price is reasonable. Con - Small seat area. Leaves approx. 2" of normal office chair seating surface uncovered. Con - Too thin. Compresses to a hard 1/2" thick rubber pad. I would not recommend this pad to anyone over 100 lbs. Seriously. The foam is not thick enough to support even that amount of weight. It would need to be larger (additional 2" to 3" width and depth) and thicker (additional 2" height) to really function properly. If you are over 100 lbs. suggest either buying a nicer chair, or purchasing a bigger cotton stuffed pad. Rated My ancient office chair is so painfully hard that I'm convinced it had a previous career as a medieval torture device. As such, I had problems with my legs falling asleep almost continuously, thus prompting me to buy this cushion. The foam is soft and comfortable, and I have no problems with it flattening out, as other reviewers have mentioned. The outside covering material seems nice, and is holding up well. By and large, it prevents my legs from falling asleep, which was my main concern. I do have one fairly big complaint with this cushion, however. It does not seem quite as wide as it needs to be. There are a couple inches of clearance on both sides of the cushion, so it slides around the chair a little, and I find myself wishing it were about an inch larger on either side so if I shift position in the chair, I don't shift right off the cushion. If you're a small person or using this on a small office chair, this would be an easy recommendation, but if you're on a larger chair or fidget a lot, you might want to shop around. |
