Rated on 2008-05-15This really does work. I was resorting to using my mouse with the left hand at work and right hand at home in an attempt to spread out the discomfort. I took a chance on this vertical mouse and "Wow!" It really works. It took 2 - 3 days before I was 100% comfortable, but now I don't notice the difference at all. The nagging soreness in my right wrist and fore arm is completely gone.
The mouse is of good quality construction that is soft and smooth. The wheel also turns smoothly and the buttons are responsive. It is overall a good quality mouse in addition to being ergonomically correct.
Rated on 2008-04-21I bought this mouse through strong recommendations from my colleagues. However, after 1st month of its use, I feel the strain on my fingers are stronger than before.
Definitely doesn't suit me. I am going to resell this fella...
Rated on 2008-04-08I do a lot of pointing and clicking at work, ended up with a lot of pain in my hand. After using this mouse for one day it felt better, takes a little getting used to but its a shorter learing curve than a trackball or other ergo mice I've tried. I can't understand why the old flat mice are still in production, they twist your arm unnaturally and are causing a lot of wrist and hand problems.
The mouse is well built and very responsive, dpi is adjustable but I'm most comfortable with the lowest setting. The thumb and pinkie buttons felt a little awkaward at first and I kept hitting them by accident. So I reprogramed them to do other actions I needed and now I find them very useful. If you don't like or need the extra buttons you can simply turn them off.
If you have wirst or hand pain this will help, if you're not in pain you will be sooner or later, get this mouse before it happens. Highly reccomended for anyone that needs a mouse.
Rated on 2008-04-04I wondered how hard it would be to adjust to this style mouse. Shouldn't have worried, as after a couple of hours of using it I was in heaven. I have recommended this product to everyone I know, and everyone has been happy. Most can't believe they went so long without one.
Rated on 2008-03-19The Evoluent Right Hand VerticalMouse 3 - Silver / Black mouse tries to do the right thing, but for me it turned out to be a pain in the wrist. Because of its weight, it takes a lot of effort to shove this mouse around the desk and it also takes a firm grip. Hmmm. Firm grip, wrist problems. This is not a happy combination. I also had problems with the way the bottom outside edge was shaped, making it uncormfortable to rest my pinkie there. My hands are average-to-large for a woman, so I wonder who this mouse was designed for. Not for me, that's for sure!
