Product Description

The design of the 3M WR310BE Gel Wrist Rest for Keyboard is derived from medical technology. Specifically, the technology behind this comfortable and ergonomically designed wrist rest is based on the gel used in wheelchairs, hospital beds and the fabric from medical tapes and bandages. The firm gel conforms to your wrist as you're typing, but then quickly returns to its original shape. The low-friction non-woven fabric is gentle to the skin, highly conformable and reduces heat and moisture build-up. The gel pad encourages neutral wrist position, and its exclusive gel filling and non-woven fabric provides soothing, comfortable support. The baseplate keeps the wrist rest securely in place on desktops or adjustable keyboard trays as you work.

I got the wrist rest after looking for my first and I decided to try this one. It has a cloth cover and holds well to the shelf by the black plastic bottoms design.

I only use this occasionally since it is for home use only. You may want to watch over time that the cloth does not separate from the plastic base over time with use.

I found it does help me with the wrists while typing. It is my first tho I have had computers in the past, but I'm not an office worker either by trade (I work in a warehouse). I don't spend much time on computers normally and this is my first wrist pad.

I got the blue color but wasn't to wrooied about its color since I am color blind anyway. The mat for the mouse is the same color at present.

I've had it for better than a month and so far am well pleased with it. The price is right also. It seems to hold its shape well so far and doesn't slide around easily as I was concerned about.

How long this pad will last I don't know. I just found it when I went searching for a pad and asked a few others what they like about wrist pads. It seems everybody feels a little diferently so its really personal preference I would think.

But for the price I think that one really wouldn't go wrong for a first time with this one. If I remember right I got it with shipping for about 12 or 13 US Dollars and it did ship quickly also.

So if you are thinking of a first time pad or like the cloth cover this one I would recommend. I chose against one that had chemical treatment for fungicide on its surface. To me I'd sooner dispose of a pad than chance a health risk. If you prefer plastic suface pads then this is not you.

There's about as honest a review as I can assess for it. In fact, I'm using it as I write this.

your gel wrist pads need to be adhered to the base with something else other then what you are currently using. I used my wrist pad for my elbow as I put my elbow on it and my palm on my chin and the gel started coming out. I had to put super glue on it to keep the gel from completely coming out. It doesnt look too good but it is working so far.

Received this product November 28. Today there is a 3" split in the seam with sticky goo oozing out of it. Permanent adhesive doesn't repair the split seam. Your money would be better spent on another item.

As other reviewers have noted, the underside of the wrist rest smells strongly of chemicals, but if you don't pick it off the table, you can't smell it. I do wish the wrist rest was taller by about 2".

Otherwise, solid construction and showing no signs of wear and tear.

...it hadn't started popping open at the seams about 1 week after I got it. Inside, there's icky gooey stuff that spills out. I ducktaped the opening shut, and that did it for a while, but now other parts of the wrist rest are tearing open, so I guess I'll just get a new one. I really didn't use this wrist rest very heavily and I'm surprised and disappointed it fell apart this quickly without heavy use.
