Problematic product - The velcro tears up the blue covering. Biggest problem is that it only stays cold for about 8-10 minutes when wrapped around my elbow. Very disappointing.

My friend has a very old one of these and I liked it so much I wanted one as well. However the newer ones are not as nice. The velcro sticks to the blue fabric causing it to pucker. On some sites they claim this this is basically indistructable but when you get it there are warnings all over it about not getting it wet or storing it in the freezer without putting it in a plastic bag.

It is very cold when you first take it out but after 20 minutes, its barely cold at all. The velco is hard to use on your own (you really need a third hand).

I use mine primarily on my elbow. Given a chance to go back, I would most likely have bought a different product (still elast-gel) because it just isnt that great for the elbow.

I have used many types of cold/hot packs over the years, but have now thrown them all out! I used this product as a cold pack during therapy after surgery on my wrist recently. After the first use, I just had to get one for home too. The flexability and comfort is amazing. It remains very secure so you don't have to "hold still" like a traditional cold pack. Also, there is no need to put a towel between the pack and your skin as you would with ice or other cold packs, and the "cooling" continues much longer than you would expect. This is the best investment I've ever made!
