Florida Orthopedics Workabout CarpalMateÂ® is a lightweight wrist support designed to maintain the wrist in a neutral position while allowing full finger dexterity. The molded portion of the support extends from the distal forearm to just past the wrist. This design prevents the wrist from dropping and prevents excess thumb and little finger opposition. Controlling these motions will prevent excess flexion of the wrist and finger flexor tendons thus avoiding overuse. Overuse can cause tendon inflammation which causes pressure on the Median Nerve and is the cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The support is held in place by a wide elastic strap that provides comfortable compressive support at the wrist. Choose Color: Beige. I use a wrist brace to prevent pain while typing, not to treat serious carpal tunnel pain. I was using a larger brace to do this, but it attracted a lot of attention. This small CarpalMate brace, though, is great. It's very comfortable and not nearly as noticeable. I'm not sure how it would do for treating wrists that are already sore, but for preventing pain and providing basic wrist support it works very well.

I will recommend this anyone looking to reduce/ prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. I cannot work without it.

Es la fÃ©rula para tunel carpal mÃ¡s discreta que se encuentra en el mercado, y yo la comparo con una local que compre, muy grande, que parece que tengo el brazo enyesado y funciona perfectamente igual. Es linda y cÃ³moda, mÃ¡s facil de poner y quitar que cualquiera. Estoy muy contento con el alivio que me ha dado al trabajar como diseÃ±ador.

Good product. Supports my wrists well. Works for either hand. The only concern is that the velcro fastener degrades over time.
