I also had the handle go kaput. However, I contacted Wenger and got no response back. Have contacted them again... Still hoping for a response and replacement. Considering what I paid for this laptop bag, I expected it to last much longer and am very unhappy that I got less than 1 year out of it. I liked the bag very much which is why I gave it any stars. It has a lot of storage and is better than any other options I have seen, but is ridiculous to last this short a time for this price. This seller rips you off on shipping, too! $20 to ship a 5 pound bag? I bought it from the same seller a year ago and it was a rip off then. But like I said, it was the best option then. I would not buy it again.

My husband absolutely loves this bag. He frequently travels overnight for work, and the size of the briefcase is exactly what he needed. It's small enough to be a carry on for flights, but it has enough space for his laptop, work files, and a change of clothes. He brings it with him on every trip.

Great price at about $75 as compared to others of similar quality. Yes, the handle can be a problem.. mine is not so far. Of the five units at work only one has the handle problem enough to mention. Note that Werner seems to make design changes over time. I am very happy with the bag but must point out that it doesn't really fit under the seat on a plane.

I have had no problem with the telescoping handle. It's very similar to other cases I have had. I love this case! I can fit so much in it. I am a professional genealogist and have to carry a CanoScan scanner, a portable printer, my laptop, lots of papers, etc, and this case can hold it all! This case is too large for the overhead compartment of smaller airplanes. I just leave the computer compartment empty and carry my computer on in smaller computer case The DEGREE from SwissGear by Wenger Computer Case, and then at least I have the bigger case with everything in it when I get to my destination. One of the best thing about this case is the roomy front pocket with pockets for everything you can imagine - PDA, phone, CDs, and even for a jumpdrive. I can find anything I want very quickly. The back pocket is meant for clothing and I have used it for an overnight trip to store a change of clothing. There is also a ticket pocket. If you don't need as much storage space and want a case that fits in the overhead of any computer, my husband owns theWenger Granada Rolling Case Blk Nylon Fits Up To 17IN Notebooks and likes it very much.

Purchased this for my Dell 17" laptop. Threw away the inner bag for a 15" and simply slide my 17" into that compartment slot. Fits perfect and does NOT get scratched or banged. Well made product and lots of additional storage for papers, disks, power cord, mouse, etc. Once heavy laden with all your gear don't break your back tryin to carry it all, just pull out the handle and roll it from your car to the building and down the hall.
